The Memphis Zoo has expanded its Tuesday free entry program for Tennessee residents.
Additionally, the Shelby County government is contributing $1.5 million to cover the expansion’s costs.
The first extended “Free Tennessee Tuesday” at the zoo will take place on September 9, from open to closing.
Prior to March, free admission for residents of Tennessee was only available in the afternoons for 11 of the 12 months. It will now be available every Tuesday throughout the year.
The free Tuesday admission is now requiring online bookings.
