After reportedly stabbing his cellmate last week, an inmate at the Shelby County Jail is being charged with attempted murder.
On August 27, Marshunn Liggins, 31, allegedly got into a “confrontation” with his cellmate, according to a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office official.
Liggins’ cellmate was found bleeding on the floor of one of the jail’s pods by the guards.
He was transported in critical condition to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, and since then, the cellmate was freed and taken back to the jail.
