The demolition of the former Carrefour in Germantown’s Kirby Woods Shopping Center, which was scheduled to start on Tuesday, has been rescheduled for later this week.
In November, the upscale shopping center closed down due to a decline in tenants. It is anticipated to be replaced with a large mixed-use development project.
The new property is being dubbed The Standard Germantown by Slovis Commercial.
In addition to a 150-room hotel, a 40-unit luxury condo complex, and more than 300 residential loft spaces, there will also be retail, dining, and commercial space.
It is expected that the new development will be implemented in six stages over the course of two years.
