A 17-year-old suffered serious injuries when gunfire broke out in Downtown Memphis late Monday night, and at least one Beale Street restaurant was hit in the gunfire, according to police.
It all took place hours after 901 Day celebrations.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition after being shot three times, according to Memphis Police (MPD), who claimed the incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. near Beale Street and November 6th Street.
Investigators were informed by witnesses that the suspected shooter was carrying a black backpack and a white T-shirt at the time of the incident.
