A judge has denied a motion for a preliminary injunction that would have put the former Memphis Shelby Schools Superintendent, Marie Feagins back in her position during the trial.
Feagins’ suit alleges that school board members had secret meetings to organize her termination process prior to a meeting in January. At that meeting a vote to terminate her contract with cause and installed the current interim Superintendent, Roderick Richmond. Robert Spence, the attorney representing the school board said he’s “gratified and looking to move forward in this case”.
