The 2025 St. Jude Telethon is the most successful event in the telethon’s 48-year history, having raised a record-breaking $12.1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, surpassing the $11.6 million raised the previous year.
On Saturday, August 2, the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois, broadcasted the telethon live, where viewers could call in to make donations.
The St. Jude campus in Downtown Memphis serves as the beginning point for the 465-mile Memphis to Peoria Run, which is in its 44th year. On August 1, around 200 runners began their race starting in Memphis.
The races this year brought in an extra $6.5 million for St. Jude. St. Jude Runs has raised around $95 million over the last 44 years.
