On Monday morning, two stray pit bulls mauled a man to death outside his Parkway Village home.
According to neighbors, the pit bulls that had been wandering around the area also assaulted the man’s wife.
Officers reported seeing Sharon Williams lying in the front yard of the house while the Memphis Fire Department attended to her.
They killed both of the dogs after shooting at them.
In addition, his wife received treatment for several dog bites on her hip and legs, which may need surgery but she is expected to recover.
The husband, on the other hand, died from his injuries at the hospital.
