Tennessee’s back-to-school tax-free weekend is here. The holiday started at 12:01 a.m. this morning and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.
Tax-free items include clothing priced at $100 or less per item, school supplies like binders, backpacks, crayons, paper, pens, pencils, etc., computers for personal use priced at $1,500 or less.
Items not exempt include clothing items priced over $100, jewelry, handbags, and sports or recreational equipment, storage media such as flash drives or compact discs and individually purchased software.
