Wednesday night, a shooting occurred at an apartment complex in the Windyke area, leaving a woman dead and two males in custody.
Deputies were called to a shooting at the City Place at Germantown Apartments near Bromden Lane and Scanlon Drive at approximately 10:25 p.m., according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
At the site, a woman with a gunshot wound was discovered laying on the ground. She was declared dead when paramedics arrived, despite deputies’ efforts to save her life.
Deputies reported that two men were arrested in relation to the fatal shooting.
The investigation is still in progress.
