LOCAL | Major Senior Housing Development Proposed In Bartlett

A substantial senior residence complex could be built on the site of the former Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett.

On Tuesday evening, course owners presented a draft plan to the alderman and mayor’s board.

In addition to 30,000 square feet of retail and office space with potential tenants including doctor’s offices, coffee shops, and yoga studios, it displays mixed-use senior housing with 250 independent living units, 120 assisted living units, 55 memory care units, and 20 independent cottages.

In November, the 200-acre course at Egypt Central Road on Altruria Road closed. In the middle of the course, a number of neighborhood streets are already constructed.

The Bartlett Performing Arts Center will host a more in-depth meeting next Tuesday at 5:30.
