Following a tragic flood that has claimed over 100 lives, the Memphis Fire Department will be sending a canine search team to Texas.
The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency announced on Tuesday that the Memphis Fire Department’s CST-HRD team is made up of skilled handlers and specialized search dogs trained in the detection of human remains.
They will spend 14 days in Kerr County, Texas.
Just before dawn last Friday, the Guadalupe River swelled more than 26 feet in less than an hour, causing devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country.
