An unintentional show of fireworks Thursday morning was caused by an electrical problem that resulted in the fire of a Whitehaven business.
At 2:24 a.m., the Memphis Fire Department reported that they arrived at the scene of a commercial building fire on Elvis Presley Boulevard.
There was a lot of smoke and fire seen pouring from the company.
It was determined that the fire was an accident that began in the building’s electric meter box. The property owner, according to the fire department, had fireworks stored inside the structure.
No injuries were reported, however a total of $485,000 in damages were documented.
