LOCAL | Nearly 200 New Laws To Be Implemented In Tennessee On July 1

Tennessee will see the implementation of nearly 200 new laws on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Among these is a bill introduced by state senator Brent Taylor that forbids concealing undocumented individuals from law enforcement.

Another law will be that Cell phones are prohibited in Tennessee’s public schools during class hours.

The following laws are also included into what will be go into effect in the Volunteer State.

-Extension of School Vouchers
-Ban on cell phones in schools
-Prohibits concealing undocumented individuals from law enforcement.
-Glock changeover penalties have been increased.
-Ban on Deepfake AI porn
-Public nuisance law safeguarding access to IVF
-Prohibits Tennessee from implementing any World Health Organization regulations.
-The windows and doors of new school buildings must be covered with bulletproof film.
-Prevents lawsuits against gun manufacturers following shootings
-Enabling Bible classes in charter schools
-Illegal photographing is now a felony under the law.
-Massive violence threat law
-Illegal to point laser pointers at aircrafts
