The Memphis Police Department confirmed that the Historic Daisy Theatre caught fire downtown overnight.
According to officers, they arrived at the scene of the fire just after 1:30 a.m. on Beale Street.

The theater first began as a movie theater in 1913 and has since been used for live shows and other events.
It was determined to be an unintentional electrical fire, according to the Memphis Fire Department. They claim that the stage area is where it all began.
There were no reported injuries.
