LOCAL | ‘No Kings’ Protest To Be Held Nationwide, Including Memphis, On Saturday

Challengers of the Trump Presidential administration are organizing protests in cities nationwide, including Memphis, Tennessee.

These demonstrations are slated to coincide with a military parade in Washington, D.C., celebrating the Army’s 250th anniversary, which also falls on Trump’s birthday.

The protests, dubbed “No Kings,” aim to challenge what organizers describe as Trump’s attempts to bolster his ego on his 79th birthday and Flag Day.

In Memphis, the event will be coordinated by Indivisible Memphis, with participants gathering at Poplar and Highland from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The “No Kings” movement is spearheaded by the 50501 Movement, a national coalition of Americans who oppose what they view as the authoritarian practices of the Trump administration.
