The man who reportedly carjacked a WREG reporter at a gas station in South Memphis, while he was on assignment, has been taken into custody.
43-year-old Lashunaye Railford was charged of possessing a firearm while committing a dangerous felony and carjacking.
With a mask on and a revolver showing from his pocket, he approached reporter Mike Suriani and demanded his news vehicle.
Along with Suriani’s personal belongings and equipment, the man managed to escape with the WREG car. Suriani did not sustain any injuries.
Railford was apprehended after being discovered in the Toyota RAV4 on Wednesday.
No bond has been issued for him.
