Two cars caught fire in the parking lot of an apartment building on Bartlett Road, Thursday morning.
The fire was reported at 5:37 a.m. at the Summereast Apartments in Berclair, close to Biscoe Avenue.
The Memphis Police Department is looking into the incident. There were no reported injuries.
The owner of one of the cars said that her ex-boyfriend, who she claims has a violent past, put her car on fire.
Video footage of the entire incident, according to apartment complex staff, shows a man dousing one of the cars with some kind of liquid before setting it on fire.
The second car was then affected by the flames.
