In a Fox News interview over the weekend, FBI Director Kash Patel referred to Memphis as the “Homicide Capital of America.”
Patel vowed to send a federal task force to Tennessee and stated that Memphis has the highest number of homicides per capita in the country.
With Memphis as a top focus, he stated that he will move 1,500 agents from Washington, D.C., across the nation.
Senator Brent Taylor was heard exclusively on Monday morning on Memphis Morning News responding to the FBI task force and the city’s crime problem.
“If the bullhorn blowhards would work just as hard to fight crime as they have been fighting Elon Musk, we might be able to solve our crime problem,” Taylor said.
