BREAKING | $10B Google Campus Expected To Be Built In West Memphis

West Memphis, Arkansas will be the new location of a development that Google intends to build a 580-acre campus, according to our Business News partner, The Memphis Business Journal.

Five data centers, office buildings, parking lots, internal roads, a power substation, and other site improvements will all be part of the $10 billion campus.

Groot LLC is working on the construction of the project. Requests for proposals for the project’s contractors have already been sent out, according to other sources who spoke to MBJ.

Google considered a number of locations for the data center project, including West Memphis. When it originally surfaced, it was projected to cost $3 billion and provide 300 jobs.

This announcement will be the latest of multi-billion dollar companies to set up mega developments in the Mid-South.

In that pipeline, Google joins Ford Motor Company, Amplify Cell Technologies, U.S. Steel, and xAI. These initiatives total $30 billion in fresh capital.
