LOCAL | 5 Human Trafficking Victims Rescued In Southaven; Suspect Arrested

The attorney general’s office for the State of Mississippi has reported the discovery of five human trafficking victims in Southaven, Mississippi.

The Human Trafficking Task Force led by Attorney General Lynn Fitch carried out Operation 806 on May 1.

Two search warrants were served by federal, state, and local law enforcement in collaboration with investigators and prosecutors.

Five victims of human trafficking were discovered during the search, and the suspect, Randy Poindexter, was taken into custody.

In 58 multi-jurisdictional operations, the Attorney General’s human trafficking team has rescued over 300 victims and made 99 arrests.
