Memphis Police reported that an overnight shooting at a Midtown bar was the result of an attempted vehicle theft.
Just before midnight officers were notified of a shooting at TJ Mulligan’s, located on Madison Avenue.
Police searched the building’s exterior and interior upon arrival, but they were unable to find anyone injured.
According to the security guard, he witnessed them trying to break into the car while wearing ski masks and all black.
The victim yelled at the four males, who then fired multiple rounds at him; he told police the shots sounded like they came from a high-caliber firearm.
He claimed to have witnessed two males leaving the premises and driving away from the area in a white vehicle heading west on Madison Avenue.
Police still have no suspects, the investigation is ongoing.
