Officials say they have extended the closures of the I-55 bridge that spans the Mississippi River.
The new timetable for southbound outside single lane closures is set for Tuesday, April 29 through Wednesday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rainfall is the cause of the extension.
From May 1 through May 7, the northbound outside single lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Weather permitting, the planned closures are due to routine bridge maintenance.
