Following the discovery in April of more than 40 roosters and chickens at a Nutbush residence as part of a cockfighting operation, a second arrest has been made.
Jose Naranjo faces two counts of cock fighting, four counts of animal cruelty, and 47 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Officers responded to a report of animal abuse at a residence on Weiner Road on April 9.
Homeland Security and a number of other agencies found a cockfighting business with more than 40 chickens and roosters in the backyard, when they were executing a narcotics warrant at the address.
44 live roosters and chickens, along with the corpses of three more, were taken into custody by Memphis Animal Control.
The initial arrest was for 33-year-old Perla Hernandez. She was charged with two cockfighting offenses and over fifty animal cruelty charges. She was freed from custody on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court on June 2.
Naranjo was arrested and later freed, also on a $10,000 bond. His court date is May 5.
