Several Mid-South schools said on Wednesday morning that they would end classes early because of the likelihood of severe weather in the afternoon and evening hours.
Around midday, the Fayette County school district dismissed classes.
It was also stated that all Millington schools would be dismissed an hour early, while Haywood County schools would be dismissed around 1 p.m.
Classes as Wynne, Arkansas Public Schools ended at 2 p.m.
According to other school districts, they are keeping an eye on the weather forecast for Wednesday.
