Memphis Police said that five men were arrested Monday night for dancing in a way that obstructed an intersection near downtown.
Four of the men were seen twerking around a Chevy Malibu that was stopped at a green light at South Second Street and Union Avenue, and the fifth man was seen dancing on the hood.
Charges of blocking a passageway were brought against 18-year-old MeKell Sanders,, 22-year-old Rashaun Bryant, 19- year-old Jordan Smith, 18-year-old Mandre’Co Mays, and 18-year-old Desmond Subbery
Four of the men were freed on their own recognizance.
Jordan Smith, however, had an outstanding warrant for vandalism. His bond was set at $2,100.
All five appeared in court on Wednesday.
