Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner spoke to Ditch & Tim Van Horn on Memphis Morning News about the conditions at 201 Poplar. Fixing broken cell doors, escalators, plumbing and boiler issues is not a permanent fix. It’s also a Shelby County justice system problem with detainees who have been in the jail for a long time. One man has been in for almost 500 days.
