Police say a 14-year-old student took a weapon to school, leading to their arrest Thursday morning.
Just before 9:30 a.m., officers said they were called to Riverview Middle School on Majuba Avenue for a weapon law violation.
Police said the suspect was then taken out of class and taken into custody. The mother of the 14-year-old was also informed.
According to the police, they transported the gun and ammunition to 201 Poplar.
The investigation is still under progress.
