On Wednesday morning, a child sustained injuries in an accident that involved a school bus near the intersection of Interstate 240 and South Perkins Road.
According to the Memphis Police Department, officers answered calls related to two accidents in the vicinity shortly before 7a.m.
The injured child was taken to Le Bonheur in non-critical condition.
The second accident involved a hit-and-run with a Dodge sedan. It was reported that a van hit the vehicle and then left the scene. No injuries were reported from the second accident.
