LOCAL | City Of Memphis Passes Resolution To Sue Hyundai And Kia Over Car Thefts

Due to increasing auto thefts, the City of Memphis intends to sue Hyundai and Kia. They claim that the city’s resources have suffered as a result of the auto thefts.

On Tuesday evening, the Memphis City Council passed this resolution.

It claimed that car thefts, particularly of Kias and Hyundais, have dramatically increased in Memphis.

The city added that a large number of thefts are caused by flaws in these cars that the manufacturer is aware of and can fix.
