On Thursday, the Macy’s on Poplar Avenue and more than 40 local investors, including Poag Development Group, concluded a $7 million agreement.
According to Josh Poag, President of Poag Development Group, they have decided to purchase the 400,000-square-foot shop and give Macy’s a new lease.
In December 2023, Poag and the other investors paid $14.25 million to acquire Oak Court Mall. Macy’s declared it was for sale in June.
After the deal is finalized, Poag stated that they would start a listening tour to see what the locals in Memphis and the surrounding area would want to see done with the mall.
