A Memphis Police officer was trying to disperse a large gathering at a rental property in the Glenview neighborhood when he was struck by a stolen car.
Officers were called to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Kyle Street just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the police.
An individual entered a black Kia Stringer that was parked in the driveway while the officer was inspecting it. That individual was later identified by police as a 17-year-old boy.
The driver crashed and ran but was eventually apprehended.
