LOCAL | Severe Weather Expected Wednesday Night Through Thursday Morning

Severe weather is expected across the Mid-South on Wednesday which includes thunderstorms and a chance of tornadoes.

The National Weather Service is expecting the peak threat to be late Wednesday night heading into the morning from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Winds of over 80 MPH are expected which could damage property, and hail of about 2 inches. With all that is the possibility of tornadoes forming.

MLGW has been on alert and warning customers that there will most likely be several outages across the city as it hits.
