TIGERS | Two More Transfers Added To Coach Penny’s 2024-2025 Roster

Coach Penny Hardaway bolstered his roster with more transfer commitments this week with the announcement of Texas’ Tyrese Hunter and George Mason’s Baraka Okojie.

Hunter, the junior who played point guard this past season with the Longhorns, will be joining the Tigers after a season where he averaged 11 points and 4 assists.

He helped lead Texas to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Tennessee in the Round of 32.

He played two seasons with Texas, originally coming in as a Freshman with Iowa State and earning the Big 12’s Freshman of the Year.

Okojie played his Freshman year as a guard with George Mason averaging 8 points and 3 assists. He helped lead the Patriots to a 20-12 record, 14-3 at home and losing in the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Also announced as transfers were Tulsa’s PJ Haggerty, Wichita State’s Colby Rogers, and Illinois’ Dain Dainja.
