LOCAL | FedEx Announces Five-Year $25 Million Investment For UofM Athletics

FedEx has announced it has plans to invest $5 million in University of Memphis student-athletes for the next five years.

This new investment plan will focus more on the dominant college sports like football, men’s and women’s basketball, and other women’s sports. This is all comes from the success of NIL deals across college athletics.

In the press release on the university’s page, President Bill Hardgrave expressed gratitude towards FedEx and their commitment to the school.

“FedEx has established itself as a leader in NIL with this innovative commitment to our student-athletes,” Hardgrave said. “The University is immensely grateful for this investment, which further strengthens the valued relationship between FedEx, the UofM and our community.”

An in-person NIL initiative will also be hosted on Saturday by FedEx. The Tigers’ Spring Football Game will include a tailgate experience.
