LOCAL | Suspect Pulls Gun On Convenience Store Clerk After Being Short 50 Cents On A Cigar

Memphis Police confirm a man pulled a gun and threatened a store clerk after being refused a discount on a cigar.

This all occurred Tuesday night at the Family Grocery on Kerr Avenue.

Police said the suspect didn’t have the adequate funds for a cigar, 50 cents short to be exact, and was still refused the cigar.

He reacted by pulling a firearm on the cashier and claiming he should shoot the employee for not letting him have the merchandise for a lower price.

MPD has not made any arrests so far.
