A major development coming out of DeSoto County morning involves two suspected car thieves who shot at police Monday morning after being pursued.
The vehicle was a gray Nissan Altima with temporary Tennessee tags.
They were originally chased by Horn Lake Police who had to deploy stop sticks, but it didn’t stop the suspects from continuing on flat tires.
According to police, when the car eventually stopped after running into a median on I-55, they fled. That’s when one of the suspects fired shots at the police.
According to reports, the two men made their way in a warehouse on Hamilton Road and have barricaded themselves. SWAT has made their way to the scene, also deploying an armored tank at the scene.
