READ | State Senator Demands Answers For No Arrests In Bridge Protest Shutdown

Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor is demanding answers as to why there were no arrests made during the weekend from the Anti-Israel protests that shut down the I-40 bridge in and out of Memphis.

Not only does he want to know why, he also is taking action with a bill he proposed to make the penalty to blocking a road from a misdemeanor to a felony.

His bill also focuses on reckless drivers who shut down roads with donut drifts and other related activity.

“I am respectfully requesting the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation investigate this illegal protest to determine which individuals are responsible for this action and refer your findings to the appropriate office to be fully prosecuted,” Taylor said in his social media post. “Our great state cannot be successful if the chaos in Memphis continues!”
