City G.E.A.R. owners in Memphis are now looking to the Governor for assistance to handle the out-of-control robberies, even adding cameras and dogs for extra security.
From 2023 alone, their stores have been hit with thieves over 60 times. The latest being a smash-and-grab last Thursday when 13 people raided the Lamar Avenue store.
Jake Cook, radio host for the Nation of Jake, was covering it on his show on Monday when he came across a fascinating and fitting discovery.
“I was looking at the City G.E.A.R. logos from one of the stories, and never noticed that G.E.A.R. is an acronym. For what, I don’t know.” he said. “We decided it means Grab Everything And Run, cause that’s what people are doing.”
